Human Intervention in the Carbon Cycle
This interactive simulation shows how Some human activities (cement production, power plants that burn fossil fuels, automobiles, deforestation and more) affect the amount of CO2 flowing into and out of the atmosphere.
Producer's Note:

Educational concept

In this Interactive Simulation the student will learn how Some human activities (cement production, power plants that burn fossil fuels, automobiles, deforestation and more) affect the amount of CO2 flowing into and out of the atmosphere. The student will be able to drag & drop human activities that affect the balance of CO2 in the atmosphere and by doing so learn how each of the activities that affects the CO2 balance.

Scientific background

Human activities have an effect on the flow of CO2 into and out of the atmosphere. Over the past 150 years these effects have increased significantly. Among the human activities that effect the flow of CO2 you can find: Burning fossil fuels, Cement production, and Deforestation.
